The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist
The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life (CCC 1324). It is the sacrament in which Christ the Lord Himself is contained, offered and received, and by which the Church continually lives and grows.
Jesus said: "I am the living Bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh." (John 6:51)
